My Story
Welcome to Sara's Soup Kitchen where we want to take you on
a journey of well being. This is not a diet but a way of life. I am
hoping thru life changing methods that you can succeed as I did. Read
my story on how to become well.
My story starts 24 years ago when I was diagnosed with Epstein Barr and it continues on today. Being diagnosed with Epstein Barr was only the beginning of a very long trip. One that I wish on no one. By the time was properly diagnosed I was so sick I could not walk and do more than crawl to the toilet. I was extremely depressed and attempted to kill myself. Out of desperation I felt like I had no other choice. But my husband saved me in more than one way. He gave me hope and love and he guided me to wellness. Bless my son he took care of the house and did all the chores. He carried me to the bathroom. I did get well and I survived and I went around telling everyone I was well. I tried to pass the word about Epstein Barr and how to recover but then I was dealt a very hard blow. I had a heart attack. I was fine one day and then I lied down to rest and I felt this crushing feeling and I knew I was in trouble. My husband was away on a trip so I was all alone. I knew I needed to get to the hospital so I quickly put on some clothes and got to the car and prayed the whole way and remarkably God saved me. I often look back and wondered why God showed me his mercy on that day and many more to come but sure it was only one of many days that I would be a witness to his mercy. The first thing the doctor told me was that I had to loose weight. I weighed 215 pounds then. I did not listen, because I knew I was going to be ok. My health continued to deteriate until one day I woke up and said I have to stop. I improved but not good enough and I never realized that these decisions would affect the rest of my life. It was not until I saw on TV that people with EPV had a huge chance of contracting MS, did I take my diet serious. But by the time I did take it serious, it was too late. I came down with MS and here is my story on how I became well in only a few weeks after suffering for years and years.
