Sara's Protocol
How did I become well? It all started with much research and aide of millions of people. I asked so many questions, that the people began to hate me. I tried so hard and even became angry. I was never angry about the illness, I was angry because I had to make life changing decisions. I was fighting for my life and I only had one chance. Imagine that you have to choose which door to go thru and that decision could mean your life or your death. The first thing I did was research diet and supplements. The following is my diet that I followed and then I will tell you what magic pills I took.
Diet:
The main component of my diet is Budwig. She was a German doctor who treated cancer patients with flax oil. She came up with a revolutionary way to treat all kinds of illness and the sad part is that she died before she ever saw fame. Now her diet is used worldwide. Some say it is outdated but I used portions of the diet and it saved my life.
1. Kousimine-Budwig power detox breakfast - Take 1/2 cup of drained yogurt (instructons for draining yogurt on the misc. page) mix it with a little water, add in 1.5 T. of ground flax seeds and 1/2 t. of pollen and 1/4 t. of cayenne. Mix very well. Add in 1 cut up banana and 1/2 of an additional fruit such as pears or apples. Add some homemade granola (recipe on the third page) and the juice of 1/2 lemon (small). Mix all well and eat slowly and drink one large glass of water with this meal. This breakfast can be eaten any time of the day not just at breakfast.
2. 1 fruit smoothie and 1 veggie juice every day as you like. (recipes on next page)
3. 1 cooked meal a day and the rest raw. By cooked I mean an extremely healthy lite meal (such as a large salad and some beans on top or some steamed veggies)
4. 1 budwig natural mix each day. 1/4 cup of drained yogurt, 1/5 T. of ground flax seeds and water to mix with. You can add some fruit for taste.
5. All the veggies and fruits you want.
6. Nothing in a package, can or processed. I make everything homemade. No red meats or fish.
7. No butter or margarines, no hydrogenated oils.
8. No white flour or white rice. Basmatti rice is acceptable or brown. You can eat a steamed potato in its jacket once a day.
9. You can use honey to sweeten with but no sugar substitutes.
That is the basis of a very simple diet. I did eat a bit of turkey once every ten days. I ate pumpkin seeds and nuts and beans for protein. Do not eat beans everyday, no more than 3 times a week and should be white or red beans. Organic eggs are all right but only the white except for one or two yolks a week.
Supplements:
Dr. Budwig allowed food herbs so keep away from pharmaceutical drugs. I took tumeric, grape seed, ginger, fennel, olive leaf, lecithin and vit c. Lecithin is what saved my life. It is required to heal and for the rest of your life. It must be taken with olive oil. There are two kinds, soy and egg and I suggest soy. No soy products allowed on this diet except for lecithin.
I also made a herbal tonic for memory:
1/2 glass of regular yogurt, 1/2 glass of water, 2 figs, 1 T. of cold pressed olive oil, 1 sprig of rosemary.
Place in a jar and leave in the frigerator over night. The next morning take out and put in the blender and mix well for 1-2 minutes and drink every day.
**No gas appliances and no aluminum cookware of any kind to include foils. The last thing I suggest is exercise and sunlight.
